Quiz: What’s Your Signature? I’m Modern.

I love quizzes…that’s always my favorite part of any magazine. Even ones that have nothing applicable to my life like “Who’s your celeb beauty match?”

So when I saw the Ethan Allen Quiz, “What’s Your Signature,”  over at How About Orange, I had to take it.

My style results were “Modern” which I wasn’t too surprised with especially this part of the description: “Simplicity and functionality are key.” So true. The only thing I’d add is that my “modern” has to also be comfortable – not modern like space age modern.

These were their examples of modern:

Go take the quiz – you know you want to…it will take like 1 minute. Oh, and post your results in the comments – was your result accurate or way off?

Lots of great things out there right now – I’ve tried a few & put a few on my to-do list:

Coffee Cake. Literally from The Pioneer Woman

Oh man. I made this (yep, the pic above is my cake) and if you are a coffee lover…it is to die for. The cake is moist and not too sweet and the icing…well, the icing has so much yummy coffee flavor. This recipe is definitely a keeper and most likely will be my husband’s request for birthdays and other holidays. F.Y.I. the batter is more runny than other cake batters, I started to freak out, but it all baked up perfectly. I used raw sugar instead of granulated sugar and it didn’t seem to make a difference.

Kid’s Picnic Table from Knock Off Wood

This has definitely  been added to my husbands “Honey Do” list. It’s so cute and Zander spends so much time outside, I think he would love to have a little table to sit at. And, at only $15, you can’t beat the price!

Ruffly Shirt Refashion from Ruffles And Stuff

I already have a shirt picked out to work on – I just have to get up the guts to start cutting it up!

D.I.Y. Superhero Cape from Floating World Views

This isn’t a new post, but my friend Andria & I wanted to make Superhero capes for our boys for their Easter baskets and I found this tutorial. I’m so excited to see how they turn out. I’m a novice seamstress, but I’m going to attempt it (all without my mother standing next to me giving me hints).

Should have pics of the cape & a few other goodies after the weekend. Have a happy & productive weekend!
